Arnold Road (Highway 79), you will find TMH Urgent Care and TMH Physician Partners – Primary Care. As part of TMH Physician Partners – Primary Care in Panama City Beach (Suite 102), Dr. John Woltz is ready to help serve your medical needs. Dr. Woltz has an extensive career background, including nine years as a flight surgeon in the United States Air Force after receiving his medical degree at Ohio University. After beginning his primary care career in Ohio, Dr. Woltz decided it was time to get some sunshine and moved to Florida in 2020. When asked what about his line of work he finds the most encouraging, Dr. Woltz says, "When someone learns how to get themselves healthy!" Specializing in preventative medicine, he adds that it's easier to stay well than recover from illness. In his free time, Dr. Woltz enjoys spending time with his wife, exercising, going out for Sunday brunch, working on the house and fishing. • Today is International Dog Day or as we like to call it International Dogtor Day. 🐶 🏥 Join us in acknowledging and celebrating our numerous volunteer teams that make powerful impacts both clinically and emotionally with patients and staff in over 60 facilities in the Big Bend area. They are pawsome to say the least. As this is an “international” celebration, we thought it would be fitting to highlight one of our favorite dogtors from across the pond, Leo. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 We could tell you about the amazing work Leo does with patients, but Leo can do a better job and with a British accent. 🇬🇧 Watch Leo’s interview. You won’t be disappointed. 😄

  • ❓ Did you know that around five million Americans suffer from wounds that won't heal? When non-healing wounds are not treated timely and effectively, they can become infected and, in extreme cases, lead to amputation. 🏥 The Tallahassee Memorial Wound Healing Center is the area’s largest clinic devoted solely to advanced wound management and care. Specializing in chronic and non-healing wounds, our multidisciplinary team includes plastic surgeons, internal medicine physicians, geriatric medicine physicians, podiatrists, surgeons and vascular specialists. 📸 Christopher A. Griggs, D.O, a vascular specialist, and Penny, an RN, work at the Wound Healing Center treating patients with complex wounds, in this case a dog bite. As they do with all patients, our wound care team will work closely with this patient to create and implement a customized care plan to ensure he has the best outcome possible.

  • In addition to his role as TMH’s Chief of Public Safety, Philip Doyle is also a dedicated, high-activity trooper for Troop H of the Florida Highway Patrol. On Mother’s Day 2023, Philip was traveling to spend a pleasant afternoon with his mother when he noticed a vehicle traveling fast and recklessly, using multiple lanes and the shoulders to pass other traffic. As the vehicle passed Philip, it began to swerve and slide sideways off the roadway into the center median, where the vehicle flipped and rolled over twice before landing upright. Philip immediately stopped and called *FHP for assistance. As he approached the vehicle, he saw smoke and steam come from the vehicle, indicating a fire risk. Philip began assessing the driver for injuries and worked to free him as he was partially trapped in the vehicle. Through the process, he learned the driver had a suspended driver’s license, and the tag displayed was not assigned to the vehicle. As the driver became less disoriented, he attempted to leave the scene, but Philip convinced the driver to remain until the sheriff’s office arrived. In response to his honorable actions, Philip was recently recognized as an Auxiliary Trooper of the Year by the Florida Highway Patrol at their 8th Annual Awards Banquet in Palm Beach, Florida. We are proud of all that Philip does to help keep TMH and our community safe. Congratulations on this esteemed recognition, Philip!
