Together Achieving Dreams Foundation is proud to spotlight a recent panel discussion at KKR focused on disability in the workplace. Our Founder, Kathryn Webster, joined a distinguished group of leaders— Bill Strait (Vice Chair of Finance/Operations at EY,) Veronica Wissel (Partner at Davis Polk & Wardwell,) and Heidi K. (Talent Development at KKR) to share insights and stories about being a person with a disability in the professional world. The discussion highlighted society’s misconceptions of disabilities, the power of allyship, driving community-based change, and utilizing alternative techniques depending on your visible/invisible disability. Kathryn Webster was proud to represent the blindness community, while sharing her personal journey to acceptance and advocacy for all disability communities. We are honored that KKR, as well as companies like EY and Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, are providing a platform for escalating disability in the workplace. ☕️ What a delightful way to kick off TAD programming! During our final TAD Fellow Weekend, FirehouseDeli of Greenwich, CT, donated delicious sandwiches and freshly brewed coffee for our students and volunteers. A special shout out to Grandpa Tony “Pops” who personally delivered this amazing breakfast spread. We are grateful for local businesses, like Firehouse Deli, for their commitment to supporting our mission of increasing employment for the blind by providing opportunities 🌟💙

Raphael's Bakery generously donated delicious homemade quiches, brownies, and cookies for our final Fellow training weekend in Greenwich, CT with our 2023-2024 cohorts, consisting of 3 women and 10 men. Their incredible journey with Together Achieving Dreams Foundation has greatly prepared our mentees to go out into the workplace and succeed.
