Taber Industries enjoys a long and successful heritage with US #Navy and other #defense programs. Taber #transducers meet NAVSEA, RV-S, and DSRV specifications for several major #naval contractors. Taber’s 2000/2002 Series transducers are #submersible to a depth of 30,000 ft. (9,144 meters) and are available in pressure ranges to 10,000 psi (690 bar), and most importantly are compatible with seawater. The 2000 Series offer a high level 0-5 VDC output while the 2002 Series offers a 2-Wire, 4-20 mA output. #Coatings, particularly the high gloss coatings used on automobiles, boats, toys, etc., are subject to a wide variety of conditions (for example, wiping, cleaning, and exposure) that can mar their surface. The ability of these coatings to maintain their appearance is an important product attribute. #ASTM D968 (Abrasion Resistance of Organic Coatings) offers two procedures to determine the #resistance of organic #coatings to #abrasion produced by abrasive falling onto coatings applied to a plane rigid surface. Method A utilizes natural silica sand and has been used for rating floor coatings. Method B utilizes silicon carbide abrasive grit and has been used for rating coatings for ship decks.
