About us
The T. Howard Foundation’s mission is to serve as a resource for diversity in the media and entertainment industry by increasing the representation of men and women of color. The Foundation is named after Taylor Howard, a Stanford professor who pioneered cable television satellite technology and who himself was a champion of diversity. Located in Silver Spring, MD, the T. Howard Foundation conducts a nationwide recruitment effort every year, visiting more than 60 public and private colleges to increase awareness about its Internship Program and to identify students of color who qualify for placement into sponsored full-time internship opportunities with industry leading media and entertainment companies, including but not limited to: AMC Networks, ESPN, NBA, HBO, Showtime, Discovery Communications, Comcast | NBCUniversal, Time Warner Cable, Scripps Interactive Networks, A E Networks, NUVOtv, BBC, GMMB, CBS Sports, and Viacom. Since its inception, the T. Howard Foundation has introduced more than 900 interns to the media and entertainment industry, and more than 200 alumni of the Internship Program have secured full-time career opportunities in the industry ranging from entry- level to executive-level positions.

This week marks my sixth anniversary of working at Verizon. From a young #adfellow to now a senior manager, time feels like it has flown but the growth I’ve seen in myself has been tremendous from six years ago. I’ve now had the opportunity to work in this company from three states and each location has come with its challenges and blessings. Colleagues have come and gone - making a huge impact in my growth. Some have become a “remember when?” memory while some are dear friends who I have shared amazing memories and traveled with. Eight upward and lateral promotions have passed by, continuously reassuring me that the opportunities have been mine to grab by the horns. It truly makes a difference knowing there are leaders that want to see you win and bring you towards success with them. Thank you to all of my bosses, mentors, cheerleaders and champions that have supported me all these years! #proudtobevz #networklife #verizon #adfellows
