About us

Our story began in the 1980s with a distinctive value: the incessant search for innovation, while respecting nature and ethics. These are the qualities that enabled our legacy company, Valagro, to successfully establish in the Italian market. During the 1990s, a focus on innovation and customers allowed Valagro to launch further into the European market and affirm its presence in China, South America, and the US. In October 2020, Syngenta acquired Valagro, an investment made based on a shared foundation of science-based innovation. Following the acquisition, both companies have worked together closely in service of farmers everywhere, sharing knowledge and leveraging capabilities crucial for a world-leading biologicals business. In July 2023, Syngenta and Valagro announced the new corporate brand for our expanding biologicals business: Syngenta Biologicals, marking an exciting time in our history. Syngenta Biologicals formalizes our one-team approach in the markets, giving us a single and market-leading identity. At the heart of it all is our people, working towards the purpose of helping farmers improve productivity, while creating a sustainable future for people and nature.

🌽 As the final waters are applied to corn and the silage corn harvest begins in Central Anatolia, our colleague, Hayri TOPBAŞ M.Sc., closely monitored the progress and collected feedback from our customers. It's great to see strong satisfaction from farmers with the season’s performance so far. We are focused on ensuring that the quality and service provided throughout the season lead to successful harvests and positive outcomes for the farmers helping them to grow their crops more sustainably.

The approach to food production must evolve to meet the global challenges of climate change, soil degradation, and population growth.  With the need for a 50% increase in food production by 2050, innovation in agriculture is crucial, and biologicals, above and below the ground, offer farmers more flexibility and resilience, ensuring healthier soils and ecosystems while helping them to feed the world.  On World Food Day, we share our commitment to providing farmers with science-based products that benefit both people and nature and fostering partnerships to leverage innovation and bring solutions into the hands of growers, faster. Together, we are building a more sustainable future for our planet.
