Did you know that Sway was featured in Scholastic Magainze's Earth Month edition? As a team who grew up in the Scholastic Book Fair era, our team was absolutely giddy about this feature. Sway's communications are often inspired by the most recent packaging policies and scientific research on ocean health – and we choose to distill these findings in a way that’s easy to understand and compelling to consume. As our team likes to say, you shouldn’t need a material science degree to understand why seaweed packaging is cool. What an absolutely epic way to wrap the TOM FORD Plastic Innovation Accelerator powered by Lonely Whale — a World Oceans Week Salon hosted at The Explorers Club in NYC! It was a delight to spend this evening celebrating and reflecting on our past few years spent in radical collaboration on solutions to the ocean’s greatest challenges. Started in 2020, this Prize-turned-Accelerator program has served as a catalyst for Sway, helping to advance our material from our lab to the world.
