On July 14, our dedicated Sunflower Health Plan employees, Coddy Lehman, Sheryl Bittel, and Mary Jo Schmidtberger, proudly represented us at the Hays Larks annual Stand Up 2 Cancer baseball game. A special highlight of the evening was when our very own Brenda Mackey had the honor of throwing out the first pitch. Brenda's courageous battle with breast cancer has been a source of inspiration to many. Her willingness to step out of her comfort zone to bring awareness to those facing similar challenges embodies the true spirit of our community and the strength we strive to support at Sunflower Health Plan. We brought our #mobile #vision #van to town offering FREE vision screenings and prescription glasses for the community! Here are the final counts: 🌻350 participants visited the event 🌻158 people had vision screenings 🌻106 people received free glasses 🌻24 people received free Readers Our community and provider partners offered dental screenings, blood pressure checks, A1Cs, Blood Lead Testing, hearing screenings, chiropractic services, and much, much, more.
