Lily Rodriguez, a recent Northern Arizona University graduate with a BSBA in Marketing and a minor in Nutrition, is continuing her education in NAU’s MBA program. She was drawn to our innovative culture and passion for dogs. Lily loves testing new ideas and collaborating with the team. Her advice to students who are searching for intern opportunities is to pursue what excites you and never give up! Also, we had to know what dog breed Lily most resembles and we found out that she's like a Beagle—optimistic and adaptable. Sophie Pirrera, studying Public Relations at Marist College with minors in Fashion Merchandising and Spanish, joined us out of her love for dogs. She enjoys working with the team and appreciates the guidance from her mentors and leaders, Jeremy & Jia, and Lily too. Her advice to students looking for internships is to stay true to yourself in your job search. Sophie sees herself as a blend of a Dachshund and a Corgi—small and sweet!

Her leadership and dedication have been instrumental in several key projects, including the complete overhaul of our customer account pages, making it easier to be a dog parent. Katie's collaborative spirit has shone brightly as she worked with team members across departments to spearhead our conversion experimentation initiatives. Her efforts have led to significant, positive impacts on our business, and we couldn't be more grateful. Did you know that dogs only sweat through their paw pads? When humans are overheated, we sweat over almost our entire body to transfer our body heat to moisture that evaporates and cools us down in the process. Dogs can only do this in a very limited region of their bodies (their paw pads) therefore dogs are prone to overheating.
