Responsibilities include administering inhalants, operating ventilators, performing drainage, assisting with exercises, and monitoring patient responses. Evaluating treatment effectiveness, directing staff, ensuring equipment safety, participating in discharge planning, contributing to care conferences, and assisting in policy writing are also key duties. Special projects and related tasks are included. Required Education and Experience: • Associate degree from a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) accredited Respiratory Therapy program. • Two years of directly related experience in an acute care setting required. Required Licenses, Certifications and/or Registration: • Current, unrestricted Washington State Respiratory care practitioner license. • Current National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) is required upon hire; and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is required within one year of hire. • Advanced cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required. • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within six (6) months of hire. This is a union position with a pay range of $34.07 to $47.55 per hour, depending on experience.

We are beyond proud to announce our newest DAISY Award winner, nurse Sylvia! Sylvia's compassion and dedication transformed a challenging situation into a heartwarming success. Recently, she had a highly combative and verbally abusive patient in Acute Care. Despite the tough circumstances, Sylvia's kind and gentle approach made all the difference. Every morning, she would enter the patient's room with a gentle tone and a song, bringing a smile to the patient's face for the first time at Summit. This small act of kindness set the tone for the whole day and created a memorable breakthrough for everyone involved. On July 24th, WellPoint graciously donated a mobile clinic van to Summit, which will serve as a vital health access point for residents in rural Grays Harbor. This incredible contribution will help us provide essential healthcare services to those who need it most. “When we think about closing the healthcare access and outcomes disparities, we know that solving the transportation issue is one of the biggest steps we can take for patients.
