Boston Business Journal recently published its annual list of the largest construction projects in Massachusetts - and Suffolk is proud to say we're managing 9 of the top 10 projects - and 15 of the top 25 - on this year's list! As a company born here in Boston, we're honored to be leading some of the most impactful projects in our state. These include the striking Logan International Airport Terminal E modernization, which welcomes international passengers to Boston, state-of-the-art life sciences projects that will reinforce Boston's reputation as an innovation city, and Winthrop Center, the largest Passive House office building in the world redefining what's possible in sustainable construction. Our Suffolk Southeast Tampa International Airport (TPA) project team was honored to partner with Children's Dream Fund to grant Jackson's wish of having a workout set in his home! The team worked together to construct the new gym equipment just in time for Jackson to train for the upcoming football season. Since 1981, the Children's Dream Fund has operated with the single purpose of fulfilling dreams for children ages 3-21 in West Central Florida who have been diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses. It was a pleasure for our team to grant Jackson's wish! #suffolkcares

Suffolk's Director of Construction Learning & Development Nathaniel St Jean, AIA NCARB recently presented at The American Institute of Architects (AIA) 2024 National Conference, which gathered over 17,000 AEC industry professionals to network, share knowledge and find multidisciplinary solutions to today's most pressing issues. Nathaniel led a session titled "Structuring Success: Crafting Leadership Excellence Through Upskilling" where he shared his insights on skill development through the lens of Suffolk's career development programs. The goal of the session was to help participants develop a career plan, address knowledge gaps, implement key strategies into professional practice and foster continuous learning. Thank you Nathaniel for representing Suffolk at this industry event!

As part of our commitment to uplifting female leaders within our organization, Suffolk hosted a series of Women in Operations Summits across each of our regions this spring. Through this program, we held seven summits attended by a total of nearly 200 Suffolk women in key operations roles. Each summit included a panel discussion with female executive leadership, a keynote speech from the regional leader, and small group discussions to allow women the opportunity to share their experiences, identify challenges, garner feedback and identify actionable goals. These facilitated discussions covered the topics of Building Presence, Career Development, Conflict Negotiation, Effective Communication, Managing Difficult Discussions and Balancing Work and Life. These summits presented a meaningful opportunity to connect and address solutions for the gender disparity that exists in the construction industry; thank you to all those who attended and participated! #womenwhobuild #rebuildtheratio

Did you know that women make up only 24% of the STEM workforce in the U.S.? At Suffolk, we're partnering with organizations like DIY Girls to address this underrepresentation and inspire the next generation of female STEM professionals. DIY Girls' mission is to increase girls' interest and long-term success in STEM fields through engaging educational experiences and mentor relationships. Our Suffolk West team recently volunteered alongside this impactful organization to assemble STEM kits, which featured engaging, hands-on activities for young women to exercise their problem-solving skills and learn more about building.
