It’s been an eventful start to fall here at the Studio! 🍂 We celebrated the openings of Verde in San Francisco and the University of Kentucky Gray Design Building in Lexington and broke ground on the Marlboro Agricultural Education Center in Brooklyn and Samuel H. Scripps Theatre Center at Hudson Valley Shakespeare in upstate New York. The University of California, Santa Cruz Kresge College Expansion and the Gilder Center at the American Museum of Natural History were recognized at AIA Chicago Designight, with Kresge College also receiving an honor recognition from AIA California. We presented our first completed project in Europe, Q Residences, at the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) Conference, and we’ve also been shortlisted for the Dezeen Awards Designer of the Year. Our teams crisscrossed cities by bike, train, and foot for site visits, happy hours, lectures, and more. Our ninth Bioblitz, held annually in Chicago, helped document the flourishing biodiversity in our rooftop prairie. Next up: The opening of our first project in France, the University of Chicago John W. Boyer Center in Paris. See you there?
