    As the weather warms up (and the rain hopefully subsides!) we're sitting here admiring the amazing work done by @nomadtraildevelopment on our bike washing station at Stoney Creek Hotel St. Joseph in partnership with @saintjosephtrails. Nomad Trail Development and St. Joseph Trail Alliance are doing great things for the city of St. Joseph and they are working hard to provide and promote sustainable recreation throughout the community.     Few things kill culture, productivity, and guest satisfaction as quickly as belonging to a team that doesn’t hold itself accountable to its stated ethos. I have met many people who have experienced language and behavior that contradicts the companies stated values. The organization had developed statements for each, but the practical day to day expression of “what hung on the wall” didn’t really match up to the lofty, timeless values. This pattern led me to adopt the phrase, if it hangs on the wall, it must be lived out down the hall. This mindset and commitment don’t have to be aspirational. It does require a commitment from the leadership to be the model of what it looks like. Here are key steps to ensure that the company's ethos is not just a statement on paper but a living, breathing aspect of the organizational culture:
