#FrictionStirWelding is a mature technology for welding parts. In just 4 steps, you can easily perform FSW on your CNC machine 👇 1️⃣ First step: Clamping. To begin the welding process, you need to clamp your parts. There are 2 mains configurations for friction stir welding: butt welding (one part next to the other) and lap welding (one part on top of the other). 2️⃣ Second step: The tool rotates and plunges into the material. The FSW tool is composed of a pin and a shoulder. At the beginning, the tool start the rotation and the pin sinks into the piece to start mixing the material. 3️⃣ Third step: Welding operation. The tool moves forward, following the seam to weld the parts. 4️⃣ Last step: The tool rises vertically. At the end of the process, the friction stir welding tool rises vertically and the weld is done. The Stirweld team has developed a technology allowing the use of Friction Stir Welding (FSW) on all types of CNC machine (3, 4 or 5 axes). We support you in the optimisation of your machine park and the integration of a new know-how to offer to your customers. Our FSW head for CNC machines offers the same performance as a special FSW machine (effort control, quality recording, etc.). Its other assets: - Low investment cost compared to special machines or FSW robotic stations. - Adaptability: despite the absence of standard machining centres, the Stirweld FSW head can be adapted to all CNC machines. - Ease of use and installation: after the first installation, the user can assemble and disassemble the FSW head in a few minutes and easily switch from machining to welding and vice versa. We are delighted to share that we have raised 6 million euros through Xplore by Épopée Gestion, with the French Tech Seed fund, managed on behalf of the State by Bpifrance as part of France 2030, and from our historical shareholders Breizh Up and Pertinence Invest SAS , managed by UI Investissement. Our goal? To embark on a new stage of our development, which should allow the creation of four new subsidiaries abroad and the doubling of our workforce by 2026. Thanks to this fundraising, we will be able to recruit around thirty employees for key positions such as mechanical engineer, quality engineer, business developer, and marketing 💪 A big thank you to everyone who supports us daily and without whom none of this would be possible.
