We were recently featured in STEM Learning Ecosystems weekly recap for our Frontiers publication "Adapting Improvement Science Tools and Routines to Build Racial Equity in Out-of-School Time STEM Spaces" In the study we examine how STEM PUSH has integrated equity into improvement science practices to broaden participation in STEM. Through professional development, "living" norms, and restructured inquiry cycles prioritizing marginalized voices, these embedded practices have shown improved equity practices and culture thus far. 🌟 Last week we concluded another inspiring STEM PUSH Convening 🧪🔬 Over three days, program leaders from around the country dove deep into strategies for increasing equity in STEM higher education. 1️⃣ Improvement Science in Action: Using rapid testing cycles to refine our approach to STEM program design and implementation. 2️⃣ Collaborative Problem-Solving: Sharing best practices across our network of pre-college STEM programs. 3️⃣ Data-Driven Decisions: Leveraging analytics to track progress and identify areas for growth. 4️⃣ Student voices: Centering the experiences of underrepresented learners in STEM. 5️⃣ Scaling impact: Discussing strategies to expand our reach and influence in STEM education.
