"I quickly realized the profound impact this career had on helping others go beyond just answering questions or processing payments. "The gratitude expressed by those who were able to cover expenses after losing a loved one fueled my passion to always leave someone in a better place than before our interaction. This opportunity has not only allowed me to influence my children, team, and community but also to train and develop others. I am grateful for the flexibility that enables me to attend my children's sports games and most importantly, provide a secure financial future for my family. As the son of a State Farm independent contractor agent, Koy Jasperson was immersed in the world of State Farm from a young age. He recalls playing with his favorite toys, State Farm wooden planes and teddy bears, and closing his eyes whenever a competitor's marketing commercial came on TV. "I've had the pleasure of meeting so many kind individuals within this company who have become like family to me. However, I never desired to follow in my dad's footsteps. I wanted to carve my own path." To support himself and his wife during college, Koy decided to work in his father's agent office. "After making the decision to pursue a different path, I had a conversation with my dad about my plans. He remained supportive but encouraged me to explore other opportunities with State Farm before finalizing my decision. Ironically enough, a corporate position as an Agency Field Specialist happened to be available in our area. I decided to apply and was later offered the position. “Serving five years in this role, I gained a deep understanding of the agent opportunity and the impact it can have on State Farm customers, team members, and the community. It was during this time I realized this was the career I truly desired. I took the leap and opened my own agent office in 2019. I did it on my terms and I haven't looked back since.” Learn more about becoming a State Farm independent contractor agent: https://lnkd.in/giWjAvk9
