We had an incredible Startup Happy Hour event yesterday, featuring serial entrepreneur Sonny Mayugba! Sonny shared valuable insights from his journey in the startup world, reflecting on lessons learned and mistakes made along the way. A few key takeaways: Don’t over-index on engineers: Sonny emphasized the importance of balancing your team rather than relying too heavily on technical talent. Scope wisely: He highlighted the pitfalls of trying to build everything at once, sharing his experience of spending too much upfront on development without the right scoping. Find the right cofounder: Sonny stressed the importance of having a cofounder who brings complementary skills rather than someone too similar to you. Having a diverse set of strengths can make all the difference in building a successful startup. If you missed today's event, don't worry! Stay tuned—Sonny will be a guest on our upcoming podcast, where he’ll dive even deeper into his entrepreneurial experiences. Arlene J. Miranda Laura Good Cameron R.
