About us
Startup Maine is an annual gathering celebrating entrepreneurship, creativity, innovation. We serve as a convener, educator and catalyst within the startup ecosystem in Maine. #SUM2020 will take place in Portland, ME in June. Date to be announced soon! WHAT HAPPENS at Startup Maine? INSPIRING – Participants are inspired and brains are sparked by connecting with and hearing from others in the entrepreneurial, startup, innovation and advance thinking spaces. This drives startup and innovation within Portland and the larger Maine community while reinforcing the opportunities and benefits of risk-taking. LEARNING - Participants learn new skills, what to do and what not to do, and how they can support each other through panels, keynote speakers and workshops. BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS – Participants (local and non-local) are able to forge connections with like-minded individuals, peers, advocates and service providers that are passionate about the startup community, creating new innovations and building high-growth businesses. CELEBRATING – Participants are exposed to the community that fosters and supports startups, innovation and creative thinking in Portland and throughout Maine. They also learn about the existing Maine startup portfolio and that it’s a great place to start a high-growth company.

We can't thank you enough for taking the time out of your busy schedules to participate in Startup Maine Week! We hosted over 25 events the last four days. So many great speakers, connections, and ideas. Couldn't have pulled this off without the support of partner organizations, panel organizers, volunteers, and sponsors.
