There's been a key update on the Employee Retention Tax Credit (ERTC)! We've revised our blog, "2024 ERTC Options: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly," to reflect the IRS's latest announcement (IR-2024-169). 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲: ▪ The IRS is 𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗬𝗜𝗡𝗚 high-risk claims and prioritizing lower-risk ones for processing (checks expected this summer!). ▪ The moratorium on claims filed after September 14, 2023, 𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗖𝗘. ▪ The IRS is considering a 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠 𝗦𝗛𝗨𝗧𝗗𝗢𝗪𝗡 for new claims and an extension of the claim window.
