📢Exciting News from St. Jude House! We are thrilled to welcome our new Executive Director, Anna Schoon! For the last 18 years, Anna has served in various leadership roles at CoAction, most recently as the Vice President of Community Engagement. Her time there was marked by incredible achievements, including leading the organization through accreditation, launching a successful rebranding initiative, and bringing their annual conference to life. With a proven track record in nonprofit leadership, Anna brings innovation, vision, and compassion to everything she does. She is deeply committed to creating welcoming environments where people feel empowered to be their authentic selves. Outside of work, Anna enjoys spending time in her yard, reading memoirs, traveling with her husband, and cherishing moments with her two young grandchildren. We’re excited for the fresh perspective and dedication Anna brings to the St. Jude House mission. Welcome to the team, Anna! We can’t wait to continue our impactful work together. 💜

Our clients and their children love participating in the Purdue Extension Nutrition Education Program each week at the shelter! They learn how to make healthy meals together as a family. 👩👧👦🍽️ This week our families learned how to make homemade crispy chicken nuggets! A big hit with the little ones. Community partnerships with with other service providers in our area are so important to us! 💜

Our team had the opportunity to share information about Safety Planning and Mobile Advocacy with our partners at CoAction this month! They support our clients with identifying housing opportunities and recently contributed a huge donation of safety related items for the children we serve. 💜 It takes a village and we are so grateful to have them as a part of ours in NWI!
