Hitting your sales numbers is harder than ever today. Instead, here's what’s easier: - You can visit 10 prospects in your territory. - You can follow up with 5 leads. - You can schedule 2 presentations. - You can network with 1 industry peer. This will take up most of your workday. BUT In 260 working days you'll have: - 2600 prospect visits - 1300 follow-ups - 520 presentations - 260 new industry connections Don't say: "I want to hit my sales number this month." Instead say: "I want to visit ten leads and follow up with five." Remember, the way to win here is simple: Focus on the activities that LEAD to hitting your sales quota. And the quota will take care of itself.

This ONE simple trick will 100x your field sales numbers And most reps aren’t doing this... Ok now that I got your attention, it may not 100x your numbers. But doing this will definitely improve them: And that’s ask for the sale! It’s so simple, but so few do it. The problem is that often times outside sales reps aren’t trained on how to set a clear next step since it's buy now or never. Or in the heat of the moment, it’s easy to roll right past this step. I’m not saying you have to outright ask “Will you buy?” There are better ways to do it: - Do you have all the information you need to make a decision? - Would you be opposed to moving forward today? - Is there something else you need before making a decision? - Based on everything we’ve gone over do you feel comfortable… Notice that the close is a QUESTION. Not a statement or a demand. Help the prospect feel safe and supported. Help them problem-solve their way to the solution. Ask for the next meeting, ask to put it on the calendar, ask for the decision maker to be present, ask if they’re ready to make a decision, ask for the sale. You don’t get what you don’t ask for.
