INCREDIBLE! The similarities of Spokane #PublicTransit systems launching innovative services almost 80 years apart are remarkable. Both implemented industry-emerging technology, upgraded rider experience amenities, and achieved next-level service frequency. Spokane City Lines' first year of service between 1946 and 1947 compared to STA #CityLine's first year between 2023 and 2024! Video text is accessible in the first comment.

City Line riders have shared their appreciation of our region's first #BusRapidTransit line through various communications channels. #CityLine #YearOne Rider reviews added to this video include: X comment: #CityLine buses have ramps at the center and rear doors! Roll yourself or your wheels on easily. The raised platform allows shorter ramps and smaller gaps for near level boarding. Email: I boarded the City Line from SCC to Division. I was impressed as soon as I boarded. My other public transit experience is in 6 European cities I have visited over the last 7 years. I think the City Line ranks among the best public transit I have been on. Email: I am an employee at Spokane Community College who is bus dependent. Now that City Line is up - WOO HOO! I take it to the SCC campus. Instagram: On my way home from Law School Day 4. Tried the City Line for the first time and already love it. Thanks Spokane Transit Email: I really enjoy the City Line. I’m lucky enough to live near one of the stations and have found it rather enjoyable to ride. Email: I live less than 2 blocks from the City Line bus stop at Pacific and Hemlock. The City Line itself is terrific. It can take me many places around town. Instagram: I haven’t ridden buses in my hometown since I was a kid, but I am very impressed with the modernized Spokane Transit system... my favorite part is the (City Line) signage that not only shows you the name of the next stop, but where you are on a real time map. Email: I love having bus access. Makes my need to drive so much less. Thank you for City Line and the service it offers. Email: On the City Line, I have gotten to know a few bus drivers - they are stellar drivers.
