Disability in the work place. This is a big topic that affects us all. Disability is a reality for everyone as we age. Some insights and a call for input! Although these past few months have been a roller coaster, it’s given me the opportunity to do some deep reflecting, to think about how I can be a resource to others. What would you like to know and how can someone be a resource to you as a manager, business owner, employee with disabilities or loved one? I’ve learned about the Americans with Disabilities Act as a Board member for a Center for Independent Living, from my very first case that was substantiated by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and from working for a large Employee Assistance Program. I’ve also made multiple attempts to utilize ADA for protections in the work place and have experienced first hand how challenging this can be with “hidden disabilities.” What questions do you have about disabilities in the work place? How can we support each other to fight for continued progress towards, access, inclusion and equity in the work place?

Three reasons why you should consider hiring me as a consultant/coach/contractor/employee. Would love to see your top three too! 1. Innovation and leadership: I’ve built several brands and launched them in multiple different sectors, paved career paths in community mental health, peer support, private sector healthcare and business development. 2. Compassionate team player: I thrive on teams as an extrovert, an idea person and I genuinely care about others. I’ve been a Team Lead, trainer, facilitator and have experience working in fast paced, high volume and team driven settings in person and remote. 3. Closing deals with customer care: I love a challenge, the thrill of the deal and I will go lengths to make things work in the best interest of the client, customer, consumer or patient. Tell me what your three whys are and how can I support you to- get hired, turn your life around, advance, problem solve, or be the best hire you ever made.

During times of transition and uncertainty, what works for me is to remain grateful, grounded and humble. So, this is what I will choose to focus on, while pushing hard to get through the unfortunate things which I don't have control over the process: - I'm grateful for all of the good colleagues, great supporters and new connections I'm making among folks that truly want to make an impact and have the skills and passion to do it. - I seek to stay grounded by learning from hard lessons, maintaining perspective and setting limits on what I dwell on that I cannot control. - I am humbled by the lessons learned in life, struggles I've had the opportunity to support others in and resiliency of the human condition. What would you like to share on these lines? How can I support? Reach out to me or the Spicer's Consulting page as I'm accepting new clients for career and life or mental health recovery coaching, business development and marketing, healthcare consulting and more. https://lnkd.in/g-Ayud27
