We are excited to announce the launch of the Alliance for Inclusive Health! This groundbreaking initiative, led by charter member Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, aims to provide people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in Washington State greater access to inclusive healthcare. By bringing together a statewide coalition of health and wellness organizations, the Alliance is committed to achieving health equity for all. A special thank you to Virginia Mason Franciscan Health for their commitment to this effort. Their leadership includes hosting inclusive health trainings, providing health screenings for individuals with IDD, and expanding a referral network to connect individuals with trained healthcare professionals. A huge thank you to the Seattle Mariners for hosting Special Olympics Washington Night, providing the perfect evening to announce our launch. Special Olympics Washington Athlete and Health Messenger Kassandra Sandgren had the honor of throwing out the first pitch, marking the beginning of this significant initiative.
