Students doing touch-n-goes, aviators flying in for lunch at the Cape Fear Winery, Cork Room restaurant, and our first responders ready to meet the needs of those nearby, should they need immediate assistance. It has been an active Sunday for sure. But hey, if the weather is good, the plane is good, and the pilot is good - GO FLY!!! Stop in and check us out here at KEYF. We have courtesy cars available, fuel available by truck until 5 pm daily, and local businesses and restaurants that offer unique items and great, friendly staff to meet your needs. Construction is in FULL FORCE!! 🚧 🦺 The Curtis L. Brown, Jr. Airfield (KEYF) is undergoing a well deserved upgrade. The new apron has been through the process of multiple meetings and conversations, as well as, several changes and finally, after all that, new concrete has been poured and cured. This coming week marks the beginning of the end. Pavement will begin to be laid and the new fuel farm will start to take shape. It’s been a long haul here in Elizabethtown, at the airport, but the rewards will begin to show dividends as the investments to our new runway, apron, and fuel farm will begin to pay off. Also, coming 🔜 the Taxiway C that has been removed will be coming back. So, stay tuned for exciting updates on our progress and before you know it… well, who knows what’s gonna happen. Stop in and see the excitement for yourself. We look forward to seeing you soon. #elizabethtownnc #keyf #sovereignaerospace

What a great day with the Leadership Team at Bladen Community College (BCC) in Dublin, NC. As we begin the process of establishing the right partnerships with local organizations, why wouldn't we begin first with BCC? Our conversations between Bladen Community College, the Town of Elizabethtown NC, Ameravia were impactful, meaningful, and results-driven. Just like preparing for new ventures, you must first determine the correct resources, partnerships, and the right path to be successful. The leadership of BCC has and will continue to be our our greatest partnership in training and developing the workforce for the Vulcanair Manufacturing Facility in Elizabethtown, NC. We are proud to partner with Dr. Amanda Lee and her team to begin the process of training local students with a variety of pathways for economic throughput for each family member. The goal of Sovereign Aerospace is to assist with bringing economic and financial resources, through workforce training and development (and job placement), to each person in the local area who have a drive and passion for aviation. As the dialogue continues with BCC, the pathways through training and education will be provided to those who have the patience, desire, and drive to persevere through the challenges and curriculum to attain the training in which we will need for the manufacturing processes of the Vulcanair V1.0 aircraft, pilot training, aviation maintenance, and airport management. There will be announcements over the next few months with regards to classes, training, apprenticeships, and other resources for those who desire to come be a part of the growth at the Curtis L. Brown, Jr. Airfield (KEYF). Those who have followed along have seen the past pictures of the growth, expansion, and rehabilitation of the airfield, as well as the financial investments being made by various parties participating in the project. If you are close by and would like to stop in, please don't hesitate. We look forward to what is in store for our future and we are so thankful for our partners in developing new careers and new life here in Elizabethtown, NC. #BladenCommunityCollege #Vulcanair #SovereignAerospace #ElizabethtownNC #ElizabethtownNCAirport
