My first event with Southern Land Company was a great success! The grand opening of our beautiful project Deco in Fort Worth featured beautiful signature cocktails and bites by The Petroleum Club, a custom cowboy hat station where each guest was able to take home a beautiful custom hat with a Deco logo, and incredible remarks from our founder Tim Downey , Mayor Mattie Parker and many others who have touched the project. Special thanks to our amazing local and corporate team who made this event happen! We are lucky to work for a company that allows us to create outside the box. Last week I had the great opportunity to attend and work at the grand opening celebration for Deco, Southern Land Company's new luxury mixed-use community in Fort Worth. This tower marks the first residential high-rise to add to the downtown skyline in more than 30 years. It has been exciting to see the considerable media coverage we have secured across the past week. Thanks to our partnership with Cooksey Communications, we were able to host a great group of reporters and influencers for exclusive media tours and at the Deco grand opening event, giving them a firsthand look at an SLC Community's splendor. As I like to look for hands-on opportunities to learn and grow in my career, this event provided ample chances for me to hone my public relations and media relations skills. I am grateful to my manager Jenna L. and the leadership at Southern Land Company for allowing me to consistently take on new challenges in my role. I look forward to further developing my skills while promoting a brand that does incredible work. Congratulations to everyone who contributed to the creation of this beautiful community!

Deco is the first Southern Land Company project I've worked on from pre-groundbreaking to grand opening, and it has been a special one, every step of the way. As the first residential high-rise in Downtown Fort Worth in more than 30 years, and with original Art Deco-inspired design and a wealth of luxury features and amenities, Deco really is a one-of-a-kind. Earlier this week, this was affirmed for many others who walked through Deco's doors for the first time. On Wednesday, the stunning building was abuzz with SLC leaders and colleagues, Fort Worth city officials and champions of the project, project partners and consultants, some of the first Deco residents, and a host of media, who gathered to celebrate Deco's grand opening and experience a level of grandeur and and intentionality for which SLC is known. This feature from PaperCity Magazine captures Deco quite nicely. As the story suggests, Deco is a gem, and I am proud to have worked on it alongside so many talented SLC teammates. Yesterday evening we celebrated the grand opening of DECO969. We are so proud of this project and excited about the energy it will bring to downtown Fort Worth.
