Decarbonizing the physical world.

About us

At Solugen, we believe planet-scale change starts with the chemistry we use every day. We’re revolutionizing how things are made with the world’s first carbon negative molecule factory: the Bioforge. Harnessing the power of evolved enzymes, plant-based feedstocks, and clean, catalytic reactions, we are making the materials we need to sustain life on Earth—faster, cheaper, and without emissions or waste.

Is off-spec oil inventory hurting your bottom line? 💸 Midstream saltwater disposal operators face rising challenges as iron contaminants degrade oil quality, drive up costs, and restrict throughput. One midstream trader, frustrated by marginal results from their incumbent chemical program, turned to Solugen. By using Verza360, they removed 99% of iron from off-spec oil, cut costs, and unlocked over $160K in additional profit. Discover how Verza360 can help you meet spec, debottleneck inventory, and boost your operational performance. 👇

Working with a chemical supplier and saltwater disposal (SWD) operator across a network of over 20 SWDs in Texas, Solugen enabled annual savings of over $2.5M in total cost of operation over an 18-month trial. By implementing our Verza360 solution into their chemical program, the operator was able to effectively reduce over 75% of total suspended solids to improve water quality and injection of over 300,000 barrels of water per day across the network. Check out highlights from the full case study below 👇. Want to learn more? Iron buildup is a common challenge in the oil and gas industry. Left untreated, iron reacts to changes in pH, temperature, and oxidation, forming stubborn deposits that increase corrosion and reduce flow rates. And let’s face it, downtime = dollars. 💸 Solugen's Verza360® products effectively control iron across the value chain, optimizing costs, performance, and environmental footprint. Want to learn more? During our visit to D.C., Solugen leadership had the honor of participating in a Congressional staff briefing on “Securing the Future of the U.S. Energetics Supply Chain” at the Rayburn House House Office Building. The discussion centered on the pressing challenges and necessary actions to enhance the domestic production of critical energetic materials. It emphasized the strategic need to reduce reliance on foreign precursors, particularly from China, to safeguard national security and ensure a resilient supply chain for munition systems and rocket propulsion. A special thanks to the Energetics Technology Center (ETC) for their collaboration in this important discussion. Together, we are driving forward innovative solutions and policy developments to secure our nation's defense capabilities.

This week, our team traveled to Washington, D.C., to engage with key government stakeholders about the crucial need to enhance national security through sustainable innovation in the chemical industry, particularly within the energetics supply chain. We had insightful discussions on how the U.S. can strengthen our domestic capabilities and reduce reliance on foreign sources for critical materials. A special thanks to Rep. Brad Finstad and Senator John Boozman for their valuable perspectives and support.
