Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) have published the Proposed Medicare Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System Rule for 2025. To enhance access to specialized diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals for Medicare beneficiaries, CMS is proposing separate payments for specific radiopharmaceuticals where the pricing exceeds a certain threshold. The Nuclear Medicine community has long awaited these changes in the payment system to better meet the needs of patients and practitioners. SOFIE is proud to be part of this community, continuing to supply our customers and patients with valuable molecular imaging diagnostics and therapeutics . Today was a great day at Sofie New England as we had the pleasure of hosting Kimon Jackson, our corporate RSO and Radiation Compliance Director. Kimon delivered a fantastic presentation at Yale New Haven Hospital, Nuclear Medicine Department, on the significance of isotope selection, PET Beta Amyloid brain imaging, and technologists radiation safety concepts. It was an enlightening session that truly emphasized the importance of safety and compliance in our industry.
