Powered by United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey (UWGPSNJ), SVP Philadelphia is the newest chapter of SVP International, the global leader in engaged philanthropy with more than 3400 philanthropists in 42 cities. Collectively, the SVP network has invested more than $80 million dollars and countless hours of volunteer support in more than 900 nonprofits worldwide. Our Vision: We envision a Philadelphia where leaders working closest to the issues have the power and resources necessary to make lasting change. Our Mission: To build and nurture an equity-driven community of philanthropists and nonprofit organizations committed to disrupting the structures that enable intergenerational poverty. Last month, Robert Saleem Holbrook, Executive Director of SVP Investee Abolitionist Law Center, traveled to Geneva, Switzerland with a delegation of human rights advocates to attend the convening of the United Nations Human Rights Committee (UNHRC).
