This morning, I decided to write about the day I almost quit, because I know that anyone in recovery or not could use a reminder that breaking points can be breakthroughs. "I began to pace back and forth. As I paced, I realized that I may not have a place to stay, I may have bought a bottle of whiskey, I may have twisted off the bottle cap, but I still haven’t drank it yet." "I realized that I had never felt this low before and made a decision to not drink. I began to realize that this experience was an opportunity, and I was in unchartered territory."
