Wisconsin residents win with HOMES energy saving program! ⚡ Last week, U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Secretary Jennifer Granholm celebrated Wisconsin's new Home Efficiency (HOMES) program, the first of its kind in the country. Slipstream's Managing Director of Policy, Robin Lisowski, was in Milwaukee, representing our enthusiasm for the work! 🌟 🔌 The HOMES program is an energy efficiency rebate program that offers rebates to Wisconsin homeowners to offset the costs of energy-saving home upgrades. Rebate amounts are distributed based on household income and estimated energy savings. HOMES is another example of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) in action. Secretary Granholm was joined by U.S. and local climate leaders, including Senior Advisor to the President for International Climate Policy John Podesta, Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers, Wisconsin County Executive David Crowley, Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson, MATC President Anthony Cruz, Ed.D., and Jennifer Giegerich from Wisconsin Conservation Voters to share homeowner savings success stories and testimonials and to stress how this program works to save real people money.
