We're so grateful for clients like the smart folks over at KindHealth. Albert and his team have been innovating for years, and we are grateful to have supported them at many stages along the way. Thanks for the kind words, Albert!

When looking for a UX team, folks tend to look for great portfolios or experience with brands that are similar to theirs. Those things matter, but there are other criteria that are even more important. UX design is 95% communication. A firm’s work samples won’t always answer the most important question–whether or not you’ll be able to communicate effectively with the UX team you select. The way I view it, design is a dance. You need a partner who's going to provide informed suggestions, and talk you through the pros and cons of the decisions that you're making. You need them to trust the expertise your team brings to the table, and to respect your guardrails and what they mean to the project. A lot of the traits that really determine whether a UX partnership is going to be a good one can't be seen in portfolios or client lists. That’s why it's important to pay attention to the vibes, the reviews, and the references. Include those observations as key information in your selection process. PS. Don't we clean up nice? This photo is from our Slide UX Team Time earlier this year... looking forward getting together again in November!

Not all website conversions are created equal. Here’s a story that proves you don't know what you're going to learn before you go into research, and sometimes the numbers that you're seeing don't tell the complete story.

Have you ever had a colleague who couldn’t resist the temptation to work at all hours of the night? Here at Slide UX, the guilty party is Thea, Christie’s sweet kitten. Thea is a either a professional keyboard masseuse, or she has developed her own new coding language. Which do you think it is? Either way, we love her. Get some sleep, Thea!

The start of a new year is always exciting, but it's especially exciting here at Slide UX. This week, we got to celebrate two incredible senior UX professionals! Lindsay joined us 9 years ago and Christie got onboard one year ago. As two of our east coast representatives, each of these sharp Sliders bring something unique to our team's culture. Clients are lucky to work with them and our team would not be the same without them. Lindsay, thanks for choosing Slide UX WAYYYY back in 2015. You've contributed to so many interesting things here, brought so much fun and so many good restaurant recommendations, and weathered so many different storms along the way (both literally and metaphorically!) Thanks for your consistent thoughtfulness, your critical thinking, your steady presence, and all the history you bring to several long-lasting client relationships. Christie, although it's only been a year - what a year it has been. It's hard to imagine Slide UX without you. Your down-to-earth nature and open, honest demeanor help not only our team but also our client teams. Thank you for always seeking out the best approach and grabbing the bull by the horns! Cheers to a great 2024!
