Happy Friday, nerds. I tasked Umbra with capturing a SAR image for a specific event in Boston, MA, over the next couple of days using the SkyFi platform. I have to say, we nailed this workflow—it doesn't get easier! 💅

Vexcel's newly available aerial imagery (7.5 cm to 15 cm) is perfect for solar panel field development and management. This imagery allows for detailed land suitability analysis, accurate land classification, and thorough pre-construction surveys. Ongoing site monitoring using this level of detail ensures operational efficiency and timely maintenance planning. By integrating Vexcel Imaging, solar energy projects can be managed more effectively from initial planning through to long-term operation. The image showcased is of #SolarStar, a 579-megawatt photovoltaic power station near Rosamond, California, operated and maintained by SunPower Corporation. Solar Star plays a significant role in California's clean energy goals, reducing carbon emissions by 570,000 tons annually and providing power to approximately 255,000 homes. For a company that built such a landmark project, integrating geospatial data ensures precise site selection, efficient construction monitoring, and optimized operational performance.
