1 De Haro exemplifies SKS’s commitment to sustainable development. We saw an opportunity to introduce cross-laminated timber to the Bay Area. The result was a faster construction time and a structural capacity of concrete while being a constructed of renewable resource. Designed to resemble a jewel box, its wooden core is enveloped by a shimmering glass curtain wall that illuminates at night, seamlessly integrating into its urban surroundings while making a distinctive architectural statement. https://lnkd.in/gw7yU4sB

Sonora Court is SKS’s latest entitlement. Located in Sunnyvale, 1154 and 1170 Sonora offer 220,000 sq ft of office and residential space just steps from the Lawrence Caltrain Station. SKS Partners and the Prado Group were advisors to the Donors, to ensure that the design and construction of the UCSF Weill Neuroscience Building aligned with the Donors' requirements and vision. The University’s new headquarters for the UCSF Weill Institute for Neurosciences focusses on integrating research, education and treatment in neurology, psychiatry and neurosurgery. https://lnkd.in/gHk3prG2

When we purchased 181 Fremont back in 2007, the Transit Center was still in planning stages and initially limited the project to 350 feet high. We anticipated height adjustments as the city sought additional funding for more neighborhood improvements and it turns out we were right. As our second acquisition, SKS Partners purchased 139 Townsend with the vision of revitalizing this historic warehouse. Upon completing the renovation, we seized the opportunity to reposition the building for the tech market, transforming what was once a dormant space. https://lnkd.in/g6mSwhzj

Encompassing seven buildings on a full city block, one of Bryant Square’s most notable structures is the historic, two-story Golden Gate Woolen Mill, built in 1879. In 1999, we converted this building into 45 residential lofts designed by Pfau Long Architecture, Ltd. While breathing new life into this project, we worked hard to preserve its original character. The result was a beautiful turn-of-the-century industrial design. https://lnkd.in/gcu6qNH2
