Earlier this year, we hosted our first Virtual Training Summit, featuring 16 webinars on various industry topics. Customers could register for up to four events and earn professional credits for each session. One session, “Designing Mass Timber Connections,” was led by Simpson Strong-Tie Senior Field Engineer Brian DeMeza, P.E. and Senior Branch Engineer Kelly Sias. In the following blog, they address questions about mass timber applications and advantages that arose after their presentation. https://bit.ly/3XXkMok

Congratulations to Nicholas Mackechnie, EIT and his Cal Poly Engineering team for placing first in the Timber-Strong Design Build competition! Simpson Strong-Tie is a proud sponsor of this initiative. In his blog, Nick, a civil engineering student, said, "This has been the best experience of my life so far, and I can’t wait to bring my passion for structural engineering to the professional industry in a few years." What a great sentiment. Hear from Nick about his perspective on the competition and the lessons he learned along the way. https://bit.ly/4er14GF
