Earlier today, we honored Juneteenth with a deeply inspiring and culturally rich celebration. Founded in 1865, Simpson House served as the perfect backdrop for the occasion. Mrs. Hazel and HER fellow residents shared their personal stories & reflections on the significance of Juneteenth. We sang hymns like 'Lift Every Voice and Sing' and shared literature on African American history. Today was a day of remembrance, education, and community spirit!

The Ageless Art & Timeless Treasures exhibition showcased fantastic pieces of art submitted by over 100 artists residing at LeadingAge PA member communities across the state. We are so fortunate to have profiled one of those artists: Leon Nasielski (94), a resident of Spring Mill Pointe in Lafayette Hill, PA. Leon's intricate etching of a country church on a slab of wood captures the essence of enduring artistry and rural charm. Here's to more moments of inspiration and creativity as we move forward into the warmth of the season and beyond.

Earlier this month at Simpson House, we held a St. Patrick's Day party. The crowd enjoyed Shamrock Shakes while two of our residents (Bruce McNeil and Mariana Eckhard) performed traditional Irish songs and shared stories of travelling to Ireland and watching the sun go down on Galway Bay. While March wraps up, we're poised for the adventures April has in store. Happy Easter!

There are some exciting things happening at our Simpson Communities. Here are the results of a Chef Showdown challenge which happened just yesterday at Simpson at Jenner's Pond... 🥙
Yesterday we hosted an electrifying brunch full of culinary delights where two of our chef maestros engaged in a friendly Chef Showdown to craft the ultimate dish while an audience of esteemed foodies determined the victor. You've been waiting on bated breath, but here are the results! We hope you enjoy both the sizzle and spectacle as these skilled chefs battled for culinary supremacy.
