We are proud to announce that 36 scholarship awards were given to Jenners Pond employees this weekend. This was made possible through the generosity of donors to the Jenners Pond Employee Scholarship Fund in partnership with The Simpson Foundation. These 36 recipients, ranging from teenagers to adults, will use the scholarships to continue their education, significantly transforming their futures and opening new doors of opportunity. “Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors, we can invest in the futures of our employees,” said Jim Clancy, executive director of the Jenner's Pond. “The Employee Scholarship Fund allows us to recognize and nurture the talent within our community, ensuring our residents receive the highest quality of care.” Congratulations to this year’s recipients!

Earlier today, we honored Juneteenth with a deeply inspiring and culturally rich celebration. Founded in 1865, Simpson House served as the perfect backdrop for the occasion. Mrs. Hazel and HER fellow residents shared their personal stories & reflections on the significance of Juneteenth. We sang hymns like 'Lift Every Voice and Sing' and shared literature on African American history. Today was a day of remembrance, education, and community spirit!

The Ageless Art & Timeless Treasures exhibition showcased fantastic pieces of art submitted by over 100 artists residing at LeadingAge PA member communities across the state. We are so fortunate to have profiled one of those artists: Leon Nasielski (94), a resident of Spring Mill Pointe in Lafayette Hill, PA. Leon's intricate etching of a country church on a slab of wood captures the essence of enduring artistry and rural charm. Here's to more moments of inspiration and creativity as we move forward into the warmth of the season and beyond.

Earlier this month at Simpson House, we held a St. Patrick's Day party. The crowd enjoyed Shamrock Shakes while two of our residents (Bruce McNeil and Mariana Eckhard) performed traditional Irish songs and shared stories of travelling to Ireland and watching the sun go down on Galway Bay. While March wraps up, we're poised for the adventures April has in store. Happy Easter!
