Silver Hill Hospital employees enjoyed the first round of Summer of SHARE -- a season-long celebration of connection and collegiality featuring weekly activities to cross paths, laugh together, and connect over activity and fun. Jeff Katzman, MD and Benjamin Bernstein, Ph.D. Bernstein led the activity with extraordinary Improv exercises that encouraged the group to escape reality and have some fun! Here is what Summer of SHARE attendees had to say! — “Best hour I’ve spent in the Martin Center yet!“ “Still smiling from the fun, silliness, and connection." and "What a lunchtime!” We can't wait to see more Silver Hill employees join the fun for next week's activity.

Congratulations to the Silver Hill Hospital Environmental Services crew on their Silver Star Team Victory. As the team responsible for the housekeeping of our residences, facility, and offices, they play a tremendous role in keeping our campus fresh and appealing. Thank you all for hard work and round-the-clock dedication. “The Environmental Services team is driven, compassionate, dedicated, and educated on the many nuances that make up a housekeeping department's day. It has always been about serving Silver Hill Hospital, with cleanliness, compliance, and customer service…This team is fully accountable, even as we have grown and taken on new roles, they always come together as a team to accomplish all tasks successfully and without complaint. Each member of the EVS team contributes in their own way. Bringing together core competencies to create and deliver, an altruistic example, we know as ‘The Environmental Services Department.’”

I feel fortunate to count Charles Morgan as a colleague, collaborator, co-founder, and friend. After many years of service as the Chair of Psychiatry at Bridgeport Hospital, he has continued to give back to the community. Sawubona, an organization that offers support through expressive arts to children in Bridgeport (https://sawubonacares.org/), was born because of his leadership. I look forward to his characteristic wise and patient approach to the challenges we will be discussing next week.

Dr. Alexandra Estrella is an extraordinary educator and leader. After 20 years in the NYC Public School System, Connecticut and Norwalk have been lucky to be the beneficiaries of her expertise, kindness, and wisdom. We look forward to her important contributions to this panel.
