In this exclusive #HybridCloudMadeEasy analysis, theCUBE Research principal analyst Rob Strechay discusses how the deepening partnership between Dell Technologies and Nutanix can help organizations run more cloud operating models. “The cloud is not a place, but an operating model. When you start to look at where Nutanix has all the way from hyperscaler to on-prem and the edge, this is where we see a lot of applications that are cloud-native in origin and virtualized. You still have a lot of virtualized applications, SQL servers, and traditional IT applications out there where they're modernizing,” Strechay shares. “When you're putting gen AI out and you're doing inference at the edge… milliseconds count. Having seconds going back to a cloud data center or back to an on-prem data center may not be as much, and you may want to get out there and put the data where the consumer is consuming that data,” he adds. 📰 Study up with #theCUBE: https://lnkd.in/gyFNfTpg #EnterpriseTech #HybridCloud #CloudNative #AIinfra

An insider’s look at the Persistent Systems-Google Cloud partnership 🤝 Partnerships foster innovation in tech. In #theCUBE’s latest exclusive from the Persistent Partner Series, both companies explored the partnership’s key underpinnings. What's imperative is the understanding that customer preferences, buying patterns and consumption models have changed in response to the rise of #GenAI. Today’s customers favor deep technological expertise and agile solutions, and Google and Persistent are directing innovative energies to that end. "[We've had an] amazing story of growth over the last five years or so. One of the things that's been integral to this growth journey is that we've been 100% partner focused, partner attached right from the get go," said Pallab Deb, managing director at Google Cloud. “One of the early realizations was that we are never going to be able to make up for our late entry by trying to do it all alone. Being partner focused was integral to our broad journey right from the get go.” 📺 Watch the full episode!  https://lnkd.in/gmXNTGdA #PersistentPartnerSeries #GoogleCloud #EnterpriseTechNews #CXOtrends Shelly DeMotte Kramer

A startup’s goal to make AI easier 🤖 In this #AIHardwareAndInfrastructure highlight, #theCUBE hears from Sid Sheth, CEO of d-Matrix, about the company’s aim to make AI inference affordable and commercially viable for everyone. “D-Matrix is an AI compute company. When you talk about AI compute, there are two aspects to it: training and inference. D-Matrix is focused on the inference part of AI compute, which is the part where you deploy all the AI models and monetize them. That's the part where AI becomes useful,” Sheth explained. “We build the chips, software, and the whole hardware and the software to go along with the solutions and the accelerator cards. Our goal is to make inference affordable and commercially viable for everyone, specifically generative AI inference,” he added. 📺 Follow the entire series, presented by theCUBE and NYSE https://lnkd.in/g72Trckp

Clockwork enabling applications to overcome network latency issues 🌐 In this discussion with Balaji Prabhakar, CEO and co-founder of Clockwork Systems, Inc., theCUBE Research’s principal analyst, Bob Laliberte explores how accurate clock measurements help users deal with network latency issues. “If you have accurate clocks, you can measure more accurately the time it takes for a packet to go through a network. If you can do that accurately, just from the edge of the network without having to rely on the network switches and routers, you can measure congestion from the edge. Then, you can control that congestion and run networks which previously were running at 60, 70% load before latencies began to get in the way of application performance,” Prabhakar shares. “You can drive the networks at higher utilizations while maintaining very low latencies. That's one of the key benefits of synchronizing clocks. With distributed clock synchronization, you can make the network scale worldwide. It becomes very interesting now to try and look at the hybrid cloud deployments that customers who use large scale networks have,” he adds. 📺 Watch the complete discussion: https://lnkd.in/g85b-sED
