Application modernization is not just an option; it is a necessity for organizations aiming to supercharge their customer experience and slash operational costs. According to the 2023 Gartner CIO Agenda, IT leaders are planning to spend 42 percent more on average on application modernization because it is seen as a solution to technical debt and a way for businesses to reach their digital transformation goals. However, businesses still face significant challenges, like cost constraints, shortage of staff with appropriate technical expertise, and insufficient change management policies to unite people, processes and culture around new systems. To successfully navigate the path forward, IT leaders need a strategic roadmap for application modernization: - Prioritize applications based on business objectives. 📊 - Involve stakeholders from the outset to make sure everyone is on the same page. 🤝 - Seek expertise from technology partners to guide you through the modernization maze. 👨💼 - Assess application portfolios to understand what you have and where you can improve. 🔍 - Determine the best modernization approach, whether it's containerization, cloud migration, or another strategy. 🌐 - Retire unnecessary applications to simplify your landscape and reduce clutter. 🗑️ Building a successful modernization journey hinges on collaboration, transparency, and strategic planning. How has your organization tackled the challenges of application modernization? Share your insights below! 👇 #itleadership #techpartners #modernizingapps

Will this year's predictions of an above average hurricane season be correct? What is making these hurricanes so strong? What can I do to prepare if my house is in the path of a hurricane? Get the answers to these key questions below!

2024 Hurricane Season We are officially in the "calm before the storm" phase. Everyone has seen the NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration and Colorado State University predictions of an above-average Atlantic hurricane season, and now we wait to see whether or not they are correct. The main reason for the high number of storms expected has to do with ENSO, El Nino-Southern Oscillation, and the changes to the global atmospheric circulation which impact temperatures and precipitation levels. Recently, the pattern shifted from El Nino, a warming of ocean surface temps in the Pacific ocean, to ENSO Neutral, neither El Nino or La Nina where tropical Pacific ocean temps are near normal. The big reason forecasts are calling for an above average storm season is due to the predicted shift from ENSO Neutral to La Nina later in the summer. The La Nina pattern leads to a cooling in the Pacific ocean surface temps and subsequently less hurricane activity in the East Pacific.... BUT above average hurricane activity in the Atlantic ocean due to: - Weaker vertical wind shear & trade wins -Less atmospheric stability The property insurance market benefitted from a quiet Hurricane season last year. We'll see what happens if this year's predictions are correct..... #insurance #propertyinsurance #realestate #multifamily #hurricanes

🚀 Innovation is a mindset, not a destination When you think of innovation, what comes to mind? A new product? A groundbreaking technology? But innovation isn't just about creating something new. It's also about: ✔ Solving problems in new ways ✔ Finding new opportunities in the market ✔ Challenging the status quo The most successful innovators have a mindset that is open to new ideas, willing to experiment, and always learning. So, to be an innovator: ❌ Don't be afraid to fail ❌ Don't be afraid to take risks ❌ Don't be afraid to try something new Embrace innovation as a mindset, and you'll be on your way to success.
