Customer Experience: Don’t just stop at improvements. Celebrate these. Measure them. Then optimize the experience by continuing to innovate, gather and implement feedback, and reinvent as needed. To enhance CX, organizations should focus on five key areas: 1. Customer Strategy – Identify who your customers are, what your strategy is for meeting the unique needs of each customer group, and develop a roadmap with priorities to implement it 2. Customer Journey – For each customer group, define their journey to find pain points and opportunities to transform the experience. Improvements aren’t always expensive and can be revolutionary for small investments 3. Voice of the Customer – Spend time talking to customers—one a one-on-one basis or altogether—and make them a part of the solution. Use their collective voice to train your workforce on customers’ needs in your quest to meet them better 4. Solution Design – Select a diverse group with different experiences, including customers, your workforce, and experts from other industries to generate new and innovative ideas, to close the gap on issues and to find unique ways to transform CX 5. Optimized Experience – Don’t just stop at improvements. Celebrate these. Measure them. Then optimize the experience by continuing to innovate, gather and implement feedback, and reinvent as needed. Use technology to aid this process and enhance the experience. #CX #MeasureImprovements #CustomerExperience #PublicSector #Innovation #PublicTrust

Human capital refers to the discipline (processes, expertise, policies, etc.) that governs the full cycle of recruiting, onboarding, developing, retaining, managing, and terminating employees. Our Human Capital Framework outlines services that support a government organization's strategic objectives for their workforce. We focus on four key points: 1. Human Capital Strategy 2. Learning and Development 3. Culture and Employee Engagement 4. Organizational Performance Improvement Following this framework allows us to build a human-centered and mission-focused workforce that helps our associates grow their skills and learn from their colleagues. What emphasis does your organization place on human capital?

Data can be a game-changer, guiding us to make winning decisions. But here's the catch: even good data can lead us astray if we're not careful. Ever heard of confirmation bias? It's the tendency to seek out information that confirms what we already believe. In teams, this can be a silent saboteur, turning data into a mirror of our own expectations. If you're looking for specific results, you'll find them. But at what cost? You might overlook or dismiss data that challenges your assumptions, even if it's critical. Confirmation bias isn't a conscious choice—it's human nature. That's why it's so important to stay vigilant, even for the most neutral among us. Here’s how to break free from this bias and empower your team to do the same: (1) Stay Alert: Recognize confirmation bias when reviewing evidence. (2) Embrace Curiosity: Analyze data with an open mind, eager to discover the unexpected. (3) Challenge Your Assumptions: Actively seek evidence that disproves your hypothesis. Invite others on your team to challenge your views and explore alternative ones. Bias can cloud our judgment. But it does not have to. With these steps, we can turn data into a tool for true insight and innovation. #HumanBehavior #bias #judgment #teams #work #collaboration #leadership #innovation

If you're a leader who likes to give your team praise, that's excellent. But how you give that praise determines its impact. In my LinkedIn Learning course, “Science-Based Habits for Modern Leadership”, I explore the nuances of making a colleague feel truly valued. While saying something like “good job” is a warm starting point, science tells us that praise is more memorable and actionable if we specify *exactly* what was done well and how it generated impact. For example, you might say: “I really appreciated how you handled that tough question in the meeting by staying centered and finding out what was behind the question, because it allowed us to solve the right problem.” This kind of feedback not only boosts morale but also reinforces the behaviors you want to see, because it helps the team member understand exactly what they did right, and what they should keep doing. Check out my course for more insights on using specific, actionable feedback to improve team morale and productivity: https://lnkd.in/gDUWd3aj Note: If you or your company don’t already have a LinkedIn Learning membership a purchase may be required to access the detailed video content. #LeadershipDevelopment #ContinuedLearning #PersonalGrowth
