Yesterday, we were honored to host Washington State Representative Alex Ybarra at our Moses Lake manufacturing plant. Guided by our Head of Government Affairs, Alex Fitzsimmons, and our Sr. Manager of Operations, Kent Jones, Representative Ybarra toured the build-out of our quality labs, control rooms, and production space. With a background in engineering, Representative Ybarra was a fun guest to host as the group discussed our #battery material #technology and scale-up progress. The collaboration between policy makers and #cleantech companies is critical to supporting the advancement of domestic new energy #manufacturing. We want to thank Representative Alex Ybarra for taking the time to visit and learn more about Sila.

Inspiring the next generation in #STEM is something that we are passionate about. This week, Michael Koon and Abel Mancilla from our #MosesLake team had a great time volunteering at the Tech & STEM Showcase at the NCW Fair in Waterville, WA. They helped kids get hands-on experience creating their own flashlights using copper tape, a #battery, a paperclip, and a bulb. It was incredible to witness so many young, curious minds exploring new ideas.
