And A Wider Circle is doing just that.   The ShorePoint team jumped at the opportunity to support this incredible charity in their mission of “building community, neighbor to neighbor” with their adult personal care backpacks program. We assembled 150 backpacks for unhoused neighbors, filling them with essentials such as socks, deodorant, soap, sanitizer, bathing wipes, seasonal necessities, and more.   A Wider Circle gives out 𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝟲𝟬𝟬 adult personal care backpacks per year. 𝗧𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 (𝗮𝗱𝗷.): 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁; 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱.   When we asked colleagues of Richie Francois about how they would describe this security engineer, “tenacious” stood out as a top characteristic. For Richie, nothing is ever out of reach, even if a challenge seems impossible.   He approaches problems and everyday tasks with diligence and confidence, never letting his “go-getter” attitude falter. His passion is quite contagious, and it directly influences his success and that of everyone around him.   One of the (many) things that have blown us away about Richie is how quickly he mastered Elastic. He immersed himself in learning all about it, which quickly led to him becoming a new Elastic Certified Engineer! We invite all in the ShorePoint community to join us in supporting this honorable organization’s mission of remembering those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms, and honoring veterans still with us.   Wreath sponsorships are $17 each, with an option to honor or remember a loved one who has served. 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻.   One of our Security Engineers, Nick Inglima, consistently goes the extra mile to support the ShorePoint team and our customers. Whether it’s tackling a problem that’s outside of his comfort zone or doing a deep dive to become a reliable subject matter expert on a once-unfamiliar topic, he devotes 110% effort to everything he does.   Nick presents innovative ideas that spur critical thinking about problems and generate possible solutions, helping the team to stay one step ahead. When he isn’t working hard and brightening up team meetings (his witty banter triumphantly dispels awkward silences), he enjoys running. It never ceases to amaze us when he casually mentions that he ran seven miles earlier that day. (Kudos on that!)   Another thing that amazed us was when Nick recently moved halfway across the states so he could have more in-person interactions with other teammates at the HQ office. It was a big decision that showed tremendous commitment to the ShorePoint mission.   We have several great memories of Nick here at ShorePoint and we look forward to many more.
