The Chevron Deference ruling has gone against the very first line of the preamble to the Constitution - “We the people…” since inception. By always giving deference to the government over the interests of the the people, it places the people in a subvervient role in all aspects of life. How is this freedom? The government could easily make laws “implicit” in their interpretation to allow the government’s interpretation to rule. This is the easiest way to get the law they really wanted but couldn’t do it explicitly. The government should ALWAYS serve the people’s interests, not the other way around. I wish Gun Owners Of America could change this.

Cash is king. Gift cards are an outstanding alternative. If you don’t have the cash on hand, or a gift card, put your firearm on layaway. If your gun dealer doesn’t/won’t offer a layaway program (especially considering the current environment of infringement and privacy breaches), then get a new dealer. We’re all on the same side until and unless your dealer puts up unnecessary walls to the free exercise of your rights. Don’t give away your power. The credit card companies still want your major firearm purchases, don’t give it to them. Hit them where it hurts, their bank account.
All major card brands have established a specific merchant category code (MCC) for gun stores. Consequently, this enables them to monitor purchases based on the type of store and items bought. This is a great step in the right direction, but it’s only the beginning. Every gun owner needs to fight harder and more often, never ceding any ground. Ours is a noble cause and we should be proud to fight for it alongside organizations like Second Amendment Foundation. Congrats Second Amendment Foundation !
