  • Meet Leon Butler, Shipley’s Regional Vice President overseeing Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi.   Leon has over 32 years of experience as a business development expert. His background includes military aviation, defense department civil service, and defense industry capture management. He is passionate about helping companies win business by providing strategic guidance, training, and consulting services.   During his time in the Air Force, he served as a flight instructor and an air advisor, building airpower capability with our international allied air forces. Later, he managed training program contracts as a civilian program manager. Before joining Shipley, he was a capture manager and demonstration pilot for CAE USA, a major defense industry leader in flight simulation and integration of training systems.    When he’s not working on Shipley pursuits, he serves our military legacy community as the National President of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc., a 501c3 charity dedicated to the legacy preservation of America’s first Black Aviators and Support personnel from World War II.   In his leisure time, Leon enjoys playing golf, watching football, and continuing his passion for aviation as a Civilian Certified Flight Instructor (CFI). He’s married the former Stephanie Keyes for 32 years and has two sons, Leon III and Jordan.

Albert's expertise is rooted in his ability to understand the unique needs of clients, colleagues, and employees, and his talent for tailoring solutions to address each challenge effectively.    He was also instrumental in forming and leading a team of subject matter experts to support sales professionals in closing large and strategic deals.
