On 25 June, once again, we are proud to be supporting the International Maritime Organization's annual Day of the Seafarer (DotS). At ShipIn Systems, we often talk about maritime shipping as the largest invisible industry. Shipping transports 90% of the world’s trade, but most of us are unaware of the reality of life at sea. So, we decided to do something about it. We want everyone to share our passion for the oceans, no matter their role. As employees at ShipIn, all of our team members – software engineers, marketing, HR, and sales – can become a certified Ship’s Captain and learn to sail as they grow their career. Last week, we celebrated the one and two-year anniversaries of our dedicated employees from various departments at the New England Sailing Center in Jamestown, Rhode Island.
