A media company about business, money & life for women 30

About us

She's Interesting is a media company on a mission to create more 7-figure women-founded businesses. We host conversations for high-achieving women over the age of 30 about business, money, and well-being. This podcast will feature women CEOs, Founders, and change-makers who are carving their path in the world and are undeniably passionate about their craft. There aren't enough media accounts promoting the accomplishments of women over 30, so this is my initiative to change that. Let's pass the mic to more women.

Innovation happens everywhere. We were invited to speak at Cultivator powered by Conexus Startup Summit in Saskatchewan, where we recorded a live interview with trailblazer and exited entrepreneur Monique Simair, Founder of Maven Water & Environment, at the Women In Tech Breakfast. One common thread in our conversation, and one of my major observations, was Monique incredible discipline and positive outlook. No matter what hardships and difficulties she has faced in life and in her career, Monique credits her success to her eternal optimism and hopefulness. Entrepreneurs need to have hope, they need to believe that they can make an impact. We also discussed the work-life balance fallacy, and she perfectly compared entrepreneurs to Olympians. No one tells athletes they train too much and that they need to take a holiday. We should treat passionate entrepreneurs who are relentless about their vision with the same level of support. Subscribe to the She's Interesting newsletter to hear more about the interview with Monique and get insights straight to your inbox from the world's best entrepreneurs. #womenintech #womenentrepreneurs #womenleaders #Speaker #womenleadership #entrepreneur #worklifebalance

🇨🇦 It feels great to be back in Canada! Are you dealing with procrastination, intentional distractions, and general avoidance? There’s a high probability that you might be a perfectionist or someone with very high standards of work and so you’re making excuses for yourself instead of starting the work and doing the thing you wanna do. What you’re creating is a *failure buffer* for yourself so that if you don’t excel at some thing, you can say “oh it’s because I didn’t have time” or “ I could’ve done it better.” The best way to eliminate the pressure you’re putting on yourself is to: 1️⃣ Journal your intention: write down exactly what you’re thinking, and let your stream of consciousness takeover 2️⃣Revisit your project plan, object, task list: avoidance can happen when we feel like we are ill prepared to combat this goes straight into planning and strategy mode 3️⃣ Set time in your calendar to do the work: this sounds very obvious but in order to “do the work” you need to eliminate all distractions. Silence your phone, and leave it in a different room, noise, canceling headphones, or listen to Lofi beats. Tune in to hear the full details on how to manage your business if your perfectionist or someone dealing with ADHD. #projectplanning #projectmanagement #mindset #failurebuffer #womeninbusiness #perfectionist #worksystems

We are actively learning how to do more, and be less busy. Being busy ≠ being productive For next week, think about how you and systematize the unnecessary tasks or automate them to reduce cognitive burden.
