What an incredible experience recording with Madame Gandhi in Phoenix, AZ these past few days. Our production team consisted entirely of women/gender-expansive people who worked tirelessly with the artist to create beautiful music with an empowering message. We’re incredibly grateful to She Is The Music for making this session possible, plus Salt Lick Incubator, The Music District and the Bohemian Foundation for partnering with us back in November ‘23 for a songwriting camp that gave life to these 10 songs. It’s magical to witness talented women supporting one another in the studio in service of a truly POWERFUL project. We cannot wait to share the album, for which Madame Gandhi’s hopeful and refreshing vision of a better, healthier, and more equitable future is the core theme 🌏 Stay tuned! This past Thursday I had the opportunity to visit Youtube with She Is The Music in New York City! It was an amazing and insightful experience getting to hear from the wonderful women at Youtube Music (Soy Kim, Jenna Hally Rubenstein, Stephanie Shim, Elizabeth Rofoli, Brittany Hicks, and Rachel Jackson). I enjoyed getting to hear about how to maximize Youtube's tools, the importance of building a supportive community around you, and not being afraid to take adjacent roles in your career along the way! Thank you to She Is The Music and the people at YouTube who made this event possible.
