I've spent a great deal of time in the last two decades thinking about meteorological intelligence for the electric sector, and over the last couple of years have dedicated a significant amount of my work time to documenting the requirement for high quality meteorological intelligence to support the energy transition, identifying gaps, and trying to push the ball forward. To that end, I've decided to make a short video series to highlight key components of my recent work. This first video aims to pitch the big picture to a general audience. I hope you find it informative. Coming soon...episode 2 will get down into the technical weeds a bit more, and episode 3 will look at a potential framework to meet the electric sector need for historical datasets.
