As we kick off Hispanic Heritage Month, I'd like to celebrate and recognize the tremendous contributions made by our Hispanic colleagues. The diversity of our individual experiences and culture woven together make our community richer and stronger. And as a proud Colombian-American, I know that many of the values that I grew up with and still have, are shared by many of you. One of the values that we strive for here at the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission is belonging. I want you all to know that I value each of you and I appreciate the hard work that you do here: you belong. Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! - General Manager Dennis Jose Herrera #HispanicHeritageMonth #WeAreSFPUC

"For me the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission has been like a second home. Everyone is very nice and just trying to help each other out. Hispanic culture is very family oriented and so coming out here, it felt so easy to work and be a part of the team.” For Alfonso Rios Gonzalez, Assistant Mechanical Engineer at Hetch Hetchy Water and Power, working at the SFPUC allows him to represent himself freely and in turn has become a second home to him. He is grateful to teach others about his Mexican heritage, while learning about theirs. https://lnkd.in/gVtwJSDR #HispanicHeritageMonth #WeAreSFPUC
