"Sewa International's Sponsor a Child (SAC) program hosted a 2-day residential Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) "Anubhuthi Camp" in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. About 28 students from grades 8-11, including 17 girls and 11 boys, attended the camp. The program, which took place on July 13 & 14, 2024, inspired young learners. Students enjoyed hands-on science experiments, model-making activities, yoga, and value sessions, promoting holistic development and creativity. Rtd. Asst Director, All India Radio, Vijayawada, Subhasekhar and Chairman, Yazali Farmers Producer Company, Ikkurti Lakshmi Narasimha Rao, added value to the participants' experience. Sponsored by Honeywell and Agastya International, the SAC program imparted underprivileged children with the knowledge, skill, and confidence to thrive in a science-driven future." #STEMEducation #YouthEmpowerment #SewaAnubhuthiCamp #Honeywell #AgastyaInternational

"Sewa International received a call from the Consulate General of India, Houston: over 150 graduate students of the University of Houston, living in Stratford House Apartments, were without electricity since July 8, following Hurricane Beryl’s landfall. They could also not go out to get food and were suffering from heat-related stress. Within hours, Sewa volunteers mobilized to set up a hot meal table. Additionally, Sewa offered a 2-night accommodation with power to over twenty students at a nearby facility." #EmergencyResponse #SewaStudentAid #UniversityOfHouston #ConsulateGeneralOfIndia

Sewa International collaborated with the Bruhan Maharashtra Mandal of North America (BMM) in organizing the three-day BMM Convention-2024 at the San Jose Convention Center, California, from June 27 to 30. The event drew over 6,000 attendees from across North America and a few guests and artists from abroad, largely from India. During the Senior Dining volunteering, Sewa had one-on-one conversations with attendees. One retired attendee suggested a new Sewa International volunteering hub in the San Francisco Bay Area. Sewa volunteers also connected with active and retired doctors. A Sewa video was played before the prime-time performance of classical singer Rahul Deshpande, followed by felicitation of the Sewa team by the BMM team. Overall, Sewa International gained significant exposure and received several inquiries. The Sewa booth at the conference received positive feedback from the attendees, reinforcing Sewa’s motto -- Together We Serve Better. #SewaInternational #CommunityService #BMM #VolunteerWork

Sewa International is honored to be part of the AmeriCorps 9/11 National Day of Service program. We are leading community service projects nationwide, including constructing the 9/11 Memorial at Charlotte Rogers Park in Chesterfield, MO, set to be unveiled on September 11, 2024. We aim to unveil this memorial on the National Day of Service and Remembrance as a tribute to those who sacrificed their lives in a terrorist attack on 9/11. We request your support for the 9/11 Memorial so that together we can honor the people who lost lives during the attack including the firefighters, policemen and other frontline workers and make a lasting difference. Since 2018, the Sewa International South Jersey chapter has been active in Chesterfield and neighboring towns, making a positive impact through various community service activities. We are proud to strengthen our community and embody the AmeriCorps 9/11 spirit. #SewaInternational #AmeriCorps #911DayOfService #HonorAndRemember #NationalDayOfService #MemorialUnveiling https://ow.ly/zH2V50SrVBv
